CTF postponed, h3y "no show", TC and Ace defend titles

The CTF game got postponed to next Sunday, 10pm German time. QS could not find a 4th player and TC was so kind to postpone the match.

Insta: h3y has very busy weeks and unfortunately we could not find a date and time within the 14-day timeframe where us Refs, t-chen and h3y could postpone the Insta Match to. So the game won't take place next Friday, but t-chen wins by "no show" of h3y.

TC won in capture and Ace in ffa. The screens and demos etc. for the iCTF will follow on Thursday, as I have to go to bed now, need to get up very early tomorrow. The game takes place in a few, der_andi will be the referee.

Insta Title Match postponed to Friday

The Instagib Title Match ist postponed to Friday, March 12th, 9pm German Time (other time-zones). All other games will be held tonight it seems. See you at the games!

I would like to remind all participants that if you want to postpone a game, you have to agree with one of us Refs AND your opponent BEFORE the game is scheduled and also already arrange a specific Date and time for the Match BEFORE that. If you fail to do so, you lose the game by "no show"! If your opponent does not have the time or will to postpone the game the game does not get postponed. This reminder is especially valid for jan/h3y.

March Qualifiers took place

The March Qualifiers took place - and we had many very close and thrilling matches again. notas qualified in ffa, t-chen in instagib, pCc in capture. As w00p is blocked in CTF and iCTF for beeing Grandchamp, in both modes two teams qualified for the title matches: TC and QS qualified in CTF, DM and a mixed team (DC) qualified in iCTF. Congrats to all who qualified!

New Qualification Maps

The maps for the upcoming Qualification Games on Febuary 28th (next Sunday) have been determined by the SauerClub members.

Please keep in mind that from this time on, you have to sign up via e-mail before the games and tell us all players in advance. We won't be lenient anymore as we believe the ones who did everything right and in time in the past deserve not to wait for the lazy ones anymore. This will likely mean that a few people / teams less will participate, but the games will much more be on time than the ones in the past. To save you tears, check for the new anti-cheat client maybe like 20 mins before the scheduled time, show up at the sceduled time, make sure you are logged in and stay online(!) until the game starts. We won't wait for the ones who fail, nor tell or warn anymore. It is your own responsibility now! See you at the games.

Here is the new set of Qualification maps.

Poll for SauerClub Members: "Limited map sets?" and a reminder

A reminder first: Sauerclub members, please vote for the next Qualification maps!

We would also like to see what you guys think about the following idea. The outcome of the result does not predetermine what we will do, but we want to know what your preference is. We might realize it with the next release, as there will be some pretty good new 1on1 maps in there and it would not make much sense determining a set before that.

Here is the idea: The list of maps that title matches can be played on gets limited to 15-20. We would run a poll for ffa and another one for instagib in here to determine which 15-20 maps would be best each. The idea is to exclude the maps most people don't play and to give everyone a list of reasonable maps he could train to be best prepared for the title matches. The counter argument would be that your favourite map might not be part of the 15-20, and you won't have the option anymore to "surprise" your opponent by a rare mapchoice.

Sauerclub-Members, please vote in the SauerClub Forum!
